Final research

Studying in your own country vs studying abroad

Today, the UAE offers an overall education to all male and female students from kindergarten to university, with education for the country’s nationals being provided free at all levels. There is also an extensive private education sector, while several thousand students, both male and female, follow courses of higher education abroad at government expense. Much has been completed since the early 1970s but now they try to improve the educational environment for all students, in line with a revaluation of the role of government. Spending a semester or a year studying abroad is a popular and valuable experience for college students all around the world. College is a time for personal and educational evolution, and studying abroad provides an excellent opportunity for this. The benefits and advantages of these courses are many for those with the desire to do so; it gives credit for study abroad and it’s very advantageous for students desiring this experience.

The advantages of studying in your own country and are many and we will discuss some of them. First, for example, is your language. The students can escape the necessity of learning a second language when studying in their own country. Courses in one's mother language are much easier to learn and succeed at. Learning a second language offers a valuable experience, however, and one that many regret later in life for not having pursued. At the same time, students can still enroll in language classes in their own country to attain a working knowledge of a language.

Second, the costs at universities and colleges around the world vary. Some countries heavily support learning for residents, but charge full price for foreign students. If a student's parents have a passport in a foreign country, students may be able to look into receiving study at the standard price. In their own country, students pay standard teaching costs. They may also have more chance for scholarships. When studying in one's country, students do not have to pay for flights home on holidays.

On the other hand we have disadvantages of studying in our own country like, lack of learning  languages other than the original, lower level of education, lack of scientific discipline, little friendship .
The same thing with studying abroad: extra work responsibility, loss of privacy, cultural differences, worry, food issues, communication with their families and high costs and culture shock. Students who study in their own country do not have to deal with culture shock, that is when a person feels lost and disoriented in a foreign culture. Students studying in their own country do not have to deal with this added stress to their studies.

In my opinion, it’s really hard to do your homework for a few months, because unless you are fluent in the language of the country you are living in, you have to spend a lot of time each night translating your work. Normally, people will stare and point, depending on the country, of course. Sometimes it is hard to communicate if you are not well-spoken. It's also very expensive. For the first while, it could be frustrating to be in a country surrounded by people who you cannot understand, and who can't understand you, so I think studying in my own country is better than studying abroad.
